This is the first of a series of blogs documenting our trip from Dublin to County Kerry and County Cork. We packed a lot into out 4 day driving trip and saw some amazing sights and stayed in wonderful places.
Our trip started with our drive from Dublin to Killarney with a stop off in Limerick to see the castle and have lunch on the river. After Limerick we drove through Adare which was such a beautiful village, so if I did it again I would definitely stop there. If you do ever stop in Adare check out there 5 star hotel Adare Manor, it looks amazing!
Limerick on the river and the castle:
After lunch in Limerick we drove straight to Killarney and luckily the sun came out as we were booked to horse ride in Killarney National Park at 4.30pm. We booked with Killarney Riding Stables who were excellent and I would recommend anyone thinking of riding in that are to go there. They were very safe and professional, the horses were well looked after and they provided hats and boots. We rode with two other people visiting from America and we did a 1 hour hack through the national park overlooking the lakes, it was truly stunning and it was the most beautiful place I have been to on horseback.

That night we stayed in Killarney at The Lake Hotel, it was so wonderful that is deserves it’s own post! So more to come…
