On route to Croatia we spent two days in J’s parents’ place in Strasbourg and I got the ‘childhood tour of Stras’. We had boiling weather and loads of sunshine and I really enjoyed checking out all the historical family sites such as the ‘croissant vs pain au chocolat patisserie’, the Orangerie, La Wantzenau.
We had a fantastic meal at one of J’s favourite childhood restaurants called Le Maronnier in Schtuzheim. On our drive back from the meal we had an amazing display of sheet lightning which we watched from the MG with the roof down.
