This was the last leg of our trip from London to Stari Grad and despite a suspicious oil leak the car was still going strong! We drove to the take the 15 minute ferry over to Pag Island, which looks a bit like Mars on approach and met up with J’s brother in Novalja. It was great to catch up with him and his girlfriend, who made us a wonderful lunch, and showed us around the town. After a pretty epic storm (which we experienced at the shore line) we went for dinner at Hotel Boškinac a small but very cool boutique hotel. The food and the setting were superb and I would definitely recommend staying there if you were visiting Pag.
The following day M&A took us to one of their favourite beaches which was a mix of sand and stones, which is the only sandy beach I have found in Croatia. It was gorgeous and after a game of water badminton we went off for dinner nearby and ate a full platter of mixed fish and shellfish, chips and blitva.
On our last day with M&A we went to Zadar about an hour away from where we were staying. J and his bro took the MG and M and I took her air conditioned car, which was heavenly. A showed us around Zadar, which is such a stunning city and we had a delicious meal with them before heading on our way to Split to get the last ferry of the day over to Stari Grad. Once on the ferry J and I congratulated the car on completing the trip and we enjoyed watching the sun set during our 2 hour ferry trip to our final destination.
